The Security Engineer II is responsible for ensuring high security across our organization and our product and service lines. This is a great opportunity to build your career with a growing company. The Security Engineer will have the opportunity to work with various teams to help analyze technical requirements, define configuration specifications, and develop project plans. An ideal Security Engineer candidate is someone who has background knowledge in cybersecurity with a passion for problem-solving., * Assist in designing, enhancing, testing, and implementing security technologies used throughout the organization.
- Provide technical support of information security technologies, providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner.
- Investigate and quickly resolve security incidents and recommend corrective actions related to incidents.
- Implement, configure, and maintain IAM Infrastructure including Active Directory, EntraID and MFA.
- Perform scheduled and on demand vulnerability assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform threat modeling on key products and services by identifying threats and developing controls to prevent, detect, and respond.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate and automate security at every level of the software development lifecycle.
- Provide security recommendations and solutions for infrastructure and applications in cloud environment.
- Perform special projects as assigned, while effectively managing time with competing priorities.
Requirements
- Working knowledge and technical understanding of cloud service platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- General knowledge of networking, cybersecurity frameworks, constructs, and auditable standards.
- Basic knowledge and experience with scripting and programming (PowerShell, bash, python, IaC, etc.)
- Hands-on experience working with SIEM, CSPM, and EDR tools.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
Education & Experience:
- 3-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or information technology
- BS degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent degree
- Experience working with JIRA Project Management
- Experience working with IAM solutions (Active Directory, EntraID, Okta, etc.)
- Hands-on experience of CrowdStrike Falcon, Check Point Harmony, and Microsoft Defender
- Experience building and securing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $85,000-$100,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.
