Job description

As a Cyber Security Engineer Lead on the Skynet program, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting cyber risk assessment activities, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigation solutions in order to develop satellite and simulator cyber requirement baseline.
  • Analyzing, developing, and evaluating cyber RMF controls and cyber engineering requirements.
  • Planning and implementing appropriate program protection activities as required by customers.
  • Implementing appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers.

Specific technical responsibilities include:

  • Assessing satellite and system security threats/risks based on threat intelligence, MBCRA, and DevSecOps pipelines, and executing mitigation efforts throughout the program lifecycle for the satellite and simulation environments.
  • Interacting significantly with other engineering disciplines as well as the customer to implement and integrate satellite and system cyber requirements as well as associated verification methods/approaches within detailed system and security engineering assembly, integration, and testing.
  • Leading the planning and execution of program protection including satellite and system software assurance, SCRM, criticality analysis, and AT plans.
  • Prepare ATO, ATC, IATT satellite and system artifacts and packages per AO policy.
  • Lead planning and implementing of NSA Type 1 cryptographic systems with satellite and systems.

Requirements

  1. DoD 8570 experience

  2. Experience with Authorization and Accreditation processes using NIST Risk Management Framework methodologies.

  3. Experience with DoD cyber test and evaluation requirements, policies, and procedures. Desired Skills:

  4. Experience performing cybersecurity accreditation activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment of approvals - Authority To Operate

  5. Intuitive and proactive self-starter that's accountable and mission focused.

  6. Familiarity with Aerospace TOR-2023-02161based RMF control tailoring

  7. Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs

  8. Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems

  9. Experience with Threat-Based and Intel-Driven Risk Modeling, preferably classified Cyber Threat Intel Support

  10. Experience briefing complex cyber security principles to all levels of knowledge and skill

  11. Experience briefing high level customer stakeholders with cyber security concerns and remediation tactics

  12. Knowledge of NIST 800-30, 800-37, 800-53, CNSSI 1253, as well as DoD Cyber T&E Guidebook.

  13. Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff

  14. Experience with satellite systems and embedded RTOS.

  15. Experience with NSA Type 1 cryptography and ECUs.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
