Job description

This individual will join the IT Shipboard team to support delivery of a key product initiative, functioning as a hybrid Project Manager and Scrum Master responsible for both project execution and Agile team facilitation. They will manage project scope, timelines, milestones, and overall delivery progress while leading core Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. The role involves close partnership with Product Owners to prioritize and manage the backlog, define project requirements, and translate them into actionable user stories. Additionally, this individual will track sprint progress, proactively remove blockers, and ensure the team remains on track to meet commitments, while driving clear communication and alignment across business units and technical teams. They will provide ongoing status updates, manage risks and issues, and promote Agile best practices to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role also requires someone comfortable working across software, engineering, vendors, deployment/hardware teams, and data/analytics.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience within product and/or project management- CSM certified
  • Experience supporting technology projects (e.g., migrations, implementations, and/or enterprise-level technology transformations)
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery
  • Strong communication skills with experience driving alignment across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Experience managing product backlogs, prioritization, and working closely with Product Owners
  • Strong product mindset with the ability to understand story objectives, challenge backlog quality, and validate requirements with Business Analysts
  • Proactive planning mindset, able to anticipate risks, identify dependencies early, and propose solutions across workstreams
  • Ability to collaborate with data and analytics teams to support delivery insights
  • Demonstrates high levels of organization, self-discipline, and natural curiosity to continuously improve team performance and product understanding
