Job description

Security Support Specialist needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work remotely.

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Zscaler Security Service Edge Support Specialist to provide expertise in Zero Trust security and cloud-delivered security services.

Responsibilities:

  • End user support for incidents related to Zscaler ZIA and ZPA, including performance, access, and usability issues.
  • Assess open tickets and reconcile with team members to ensure remediation or closure, and address backlog of incidents.
  • Engage with team members on recurring support and incident patterns to identify and address root-cause issues.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced troubleshooting in traffic forwarding, authentication flows, and security policy enforcement.
  • Familiarity with Zscaler Client Connector and App Connector software updates and lifecycle management.
  • Experience configuring Application segments and defining Access policies to manage network reachability to private resources.
  • Technical proficiency in SSL inspection, secure web gateway technologies, URL filtering, firewall rules, DNS security, sandboxing, and DLP.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust principles including SSE and SASE architectures.
  • Understanding of Identity Providers for authentication.
  • Experience with Apple macOS, Windows 11 endpoints, and endpoint configurations.
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams (client platforms, core networking, L1/L2 escalations) to drive incident resolution, including gathering diagnostic data such as packet captures.
  • Proven ability to support high-severity incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute to resolution of complex incidents.
  • Skilled in creating and maintaining technical documentation including network diagrams, SOPs, and test plans.
