We are looking for a highly skilled and solution-oriented , including Azure SQL knowledge to join our team at Allianz Technology. The candidate shall develop, maintain, and automate our infrastructure code at scale leveraging the Azure ecosystem ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and customer satisfaction.Azure Platform Engineer

What you do

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize robust and scalable IT platforms, with a focus on Azure Synapse and other Azure services, to meet business needs and performance standards.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Terraform; manage and optimize Azure SQL Server environments, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
• Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, including stored procedures, functions, and queries, to support various business needs; review and optimize code written by other team members to ensure best practices and performance standards.
• Utilize SQLPackage (dacpac/Data-tier applications) for database deployment and management; develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, including Azure modules and error handling.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, security concepts, and operational requirements; collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure and MS-SQL technologies and best practices, advising on their implementation., * Strong understanding of low-level SQL permissions based on SQL roles, including schema-level permissions assigned to roles.

• Proficient in T-SQL, with experience in writing stored procedures, querying system tables, and conducting code reviews.

• Experience with SQLPackage (dacpac / Data-tier applications) for database deployment and management.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics, including designing pipelines and automating database tasks.

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting, including general scripting, Azure modules, and error handling.

• Proven experience in managing and optimizing Azure SQL Server environments.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Technology Stack
