Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for product-minded engineers to join our diverse and driven team. We really value collaboration, making an impact, and continuous learning. Our product development team is based in Berlin, but we have folks working all over Europe, and you'll work closely with an experienced and supportive team. Our products run on Google Cloud Platform.

For our data warehouse, we use DBT on BigQuery, and we automate everything with GitHub Actions.

Your profile

In topi on day to day basis you will be doing:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using DBT, Fivetran, and Metabase. Experience with similar modern data stack technologies is also valued.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
• Develop and maintain ELT workflows to extract, load, and transform data from diverse sources into a centralized cloud data warehouse.
• Implement and maintain robust dimensional models, staging layers, marts and transformation logic following best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand data workflows and provide technical support.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Build and improve a modern development environment and CI/CD system to ensure scalable and reliable data delivery.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Technical Skills: strong proficiency in SQL, particularly with DBT or similar frameworks; experience with Python is a plus.

• Data Warehousing: hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses.
• Data Modeling: proficiency in designing efficient database schemas.
• Stakeholder Management: you can communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Infrastructure: proficiency in Terraform and GitHub Actions (nice-to-have).
• Collaboration: strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Great communication skills in English
