Job description

Join our Frontend Platform Team and help shape the foundations that power customer-facing experiences across zooplus. The team owns the shared frontend architecture, developer tooling, and platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to build and ship features faster, more reliably, and with a consistent user experience.

You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams across the organisation to improve developer experience, evolve platform architecture, and support scalable frontend development used by millions of customers across Europe.

This role offers a high level of ownership, technical influence, and the opportunity to work on platform challenges at scale.

What You'll Do

  • Design and evolve shared frontend platform capabilities, SDKs, and application architecture
  • Improve developer workflows, tooling, and engineering standards across teams
  • Contribute to scalable frontend systems, rendering solutions, and platform performance
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to support product delivery and technical direction
  • Help improve testing, automation, observability, and release processes
  • Share knowledge through collaboration, code reviews, and mentoring

Tech Stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, pnpm workspaces, Turborepo, Jest, Playwright, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Good knowledge of React, TypeScript, and Node.js ecosystems

  • Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud environments, and distributed systems
  • Interest in scalable architecture, performance, and developer experience
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and driving engineering best practices
  • Comfortable working in modern development environments with testing and automation
  • Good communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with mono-repositories, internal platforms, or design systems
  • Exposure to e-commerce or high-traffic environments
  • Knowledge of server-side rendering, edge rendering, or caching strategies
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT
  • Participation in open-source or inner-source initiatives
