Job description
The selected person will have to carry out the following functions:
- Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, protocols, and instructions
- Effectively support researchers by providing technical assistance, demonstrating procedures, and collecting, preparing, and/or analyzing samples
- Supervise the proper storage of research material (including items from completed research projects)
- Maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment
- Compliance with health and safety regulations (in coordination with the health and safety technician):
- Ensure compliance with regulations and the correct use of PPE
- Maintain control of the inventory of chemical products (including the physical SDS repository) and equipment
- Waste management
- Activity planning
- Assess and identify potential risks. Report and collaborate in accident investigations and risk assessments For the development of their functions, they will have to interact with technical and research staff areas, as well as with suppliers.
Requirements
- Intermediate vocational qualification in laboratory analysis and quality control or equivalent., * Experience in a similar laboratory in a multinational and multicultural environment.
- Experience in the use of optical microscopy equipment.
- Experience in the use of metal additive manufacturing machines.
LANGUAGES
- Minimum English level B2 according to the CEFR.
DIGITAL COMPETENCE
- Advanced user of: Microsoft Office, preferably Office 365, especially Excel and Word.
Valorable
- ImageJ, The working language of the Institute is English. Full command of the English language is required in all positions.
