Airbus - Hardware Design Engineer

Airbus - Hardware Design Engineer - Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain. Overview Design, develop and validate electronic units for flight and ground equipment in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space). Work on launchers, Earth Exploration, Space Exploration and Commercial satellites. Coordination with Power, Analog or Digital teams and support project, technical and test managers. Responsibilities Analyze project requirements and support Technical and Test Managers. Conduct architecture analysis at electronic function or module level. Perform detailed electronics design based on electrical simulations. Ensure design robustness through stress, worst-case, failure-mode, criticality, power-budget and double-insulation analyses. Assist radiation team on SEE mitigation for flight designs. Document design and support laboratory, prototype and packaging activities. Review PCB layouts in collaboration with the PCB CAD team. Define board test procedures and support acceptance testing. Participate in project reviews such as Requirement, Preliminary, Architecture and Critical Design reviews. Characterize designs and monitor baseline deviations during qualification and acceptance. Resolve board non-conformance reports (NCRs) during qualification or acceptance. Qualifications Master degree level or equivalent in engineering or science disciplines. Proven experience in Power, Analog or Digital electronics design. Experience with advanced laboratory instrumentation. Knowledge of design methodologies and tools for space applications (Mentor, LTSpice, MATLAB, SIMetrix-SIMPLIS). Solid mathematical background for electronic design analysis. Fluency in English and Spanish at mid-level or higher (written and spoken). Strong communication, reporting and teamwork skills. Independent, detail-oriented work style. Digital mindset (automation, scripting, digital design tools) preferred. Familiarity with space environment constraints and Agile methodologies preferred.
