As a TMS application engineer at DSV, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our daily transport operations in the Netherlands and Belgium. You ensure our systems run smoothly, processes are optimised, and users receive the best possible support. You get it done You play a key role in the management and further development of our Transport Management System (SCE). Thanks to your analytical mindset and accurate way of working, our transport processes remain efficient, stable, and future-proof: you're on it. How you do this? As a TMS application engineer, you are the key link between IT, operations, and our transport partners. You are responsible for the functional management, maintenance, and further optimisation of our Transport Management System (TMS/SCE), which supports our daily transport operations across the Netherlands and Belgium. Thanks to your analytical skills and precise way of working, systems continue to run reliably and processes remain fully aligned with operational needs. You are involved in analysing and resolving incidents, processing change requests, and carrying out functional configurations and testing. In doing so, you ensure disruptions are resolved quickly and users can rely on a well-functioning system. In this role, you work closely with colleagues from operations, IT, and external carriers. You translate operational requirements and challenges into smart system solutions and actively contribute ideas for improvements within the TMS landscape. In addition, you monitor system performance, data quality, and the continuity of transport processes, while contributing to optimisation and standardisation initiatives across the organisation. No two days are the same: one moment you may be solving a complex system issue, while the next you are involved in testing and implementing new functionalities that directly impact our logistics operations. You achieve this by:
- managing and handling incidents, changes, and service requests via ServiceNow;
- analysing and resolving TMS- and SCE-related issues and user queries;
- carrying out functional configurations, testing, and implementing system changes;
- translating operational requirements into smart and practical system solutions;
- monitoring system performance, data quality, and transport process stability;
- contributing to optimisation, standardisation, and continuous improvement within the TMS landscape.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Transportation management systems?, * experience with or a strong affinity for Transport Management Systems (TMS); experience with SCE is an advantage;
- experience in application management and/or functional management within a logistics environment;
- experience with ServiceNow or a similar ticketing or ITSM system;
- an analytical mindset and a structured, accurate way of working;
- strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with IT, users, and operations;
- a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
