We are seeking a Support Engineer to join our User Solutions Team at a leading global trading firm. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for IT and Trading Technology requests, ensuring maximum productivity for our users while identifying opportunities to improve processes through proprietary tool development., As a Support Engineer, you will:
- Provide exceptional user support for incoming requests, incidents, and issues across the business, from trading to back-office operations;
- Take ownership of all requests and incidents, ensuring timely communication and resolution;
- Perform daily assessments to optimize the environment and identify initiatives that enhance reliability and user experience through technology adoption or custom tool development;
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and vendors to deliver effective solutions;
- Update, improve, and maintain automated processes for onboarding, visitor management, transfers, and other workflows using PowerShell scripts;
- Manage licenses, Active Directory users/groups/GPOs, file services via DSC PowerShell;
- Contribute to infrastructure improvements with a focus on automation and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, You are detail-oriented, proactive, and have strong problem-solving skills. You enjoy working collaboratively while taking ownership of your tasks. You also have:
- Proven experience in end-user support across endpoints such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, accounts, groups, policies, file services, software applications, and business tools;
- Scripting or development experience (PowerShell, Python or similar), with an interest in building proprietary tools;
- A continuous improvement mindset with an understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts;
- Strong knowledge of Windows maintenance/troubleshooting and networking connectivity;
- Ideally experience with Microsoft SCCM or MDT, Intune, Office 365, Exchange operations, Active Directory, VMware Horizon;
- Familiarity with email phishing analysis and SCOM alerts management is a plus;
- Excellent communication skills coupled with high attention to detail;
- The ability to multitask effectively while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
