Field Installation Technician

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Installation Technician to join our growing team. The role involves installing and maintaining Wi-Fi, broadband, VoIP, CCTV, Video Intercom and access control systems for residential and commercial customers across the UK. The ideal candidate will be practical, customer-focused and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team., * Survey, install, configure and test network / Wi-Fi equipment and broadband connections.

• Install and assist with configuring access control systems including keypads, card readers, intercom systems and associated equipment.
• Assist with the installation, retro fitting and upgrading along with the maintenance of customer systems to company standards.
• Basic understanding of networking and broadband systems would be beneficial.
• Good practical problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve installation issues.
• A can-do attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
• Installing containment including trunking and conduit.
• Pulling, terminating and testing network/data cabling.
• Mounting CCTV cameras, video intercoms, access control, network and Wi-Fi equipment amongst others.
• Setting up broadband routers, SSIDs and customer passwords.
• Working independently on customer sites whilst maintaining high customer service standards.
• Conduct site surveys to assess the requirements and limitations of technology installations.
• Liaise with third engineers onsite and remotely.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of installed systems.
• Diagnose and fault find issues related to Wi-Fi, Broadband, CCTV, Telephone and Access Control Systems.
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients remotely and on-site as needed.
• As a third-party supplier of technical solutions, you are required to have good communications, skills (both written and oral) to be able to liaise with providers, tenants and customers both residential and business to deliver the desired outcome to a high standard,
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in VoIP?, * Experience in implementing, and maintaining Wi-Fi Networks, Broadband connections, CCTV systems, and access control solutions.

• Familiarity with CCTV camera types, configurations, and video management software.
• Experience with access control systems, including hardware installation and software configuration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members along with third party.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• A can-do attitude is a key skill along with an ability to work Collaboratory within a team to find innovative solutions to deliver products to our customers.
• Understand the client's needs and provide customised solutions.
• Ability to manage stock & equipment.

Desirable:

• Previous experience onsite whether new build / retrofit developments or similar sites.
• Ability to identify and up-sell opportunities whilst on site
• Knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience working in residential and commercial environments.
• Willingness to learn and undertake manufacturer/product training.
• Ability to sign off domestic electrical installations.
