Job description

Our client - Central Government - is seeking an experienced DV-cleared DBA to support secure environments across on-prem and Azure platforms. The role combines BAU support with a major secure migration project later in the year.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on DBA support across Oracle (19c, RMAN, OEM, Data Guard) and SQL Server (Always On, patching, installations)
  • Manage backups, high availability, performance tuning and incident resolution across secure environments
  • Deliver installations, upgrades and ongoing maintenance for database platforms
  • Support automation and Scripting (PowerShell) alongside Windows administration
  • Work across on-prem and Azure infrastructure, ensuring security, resilience and performance
  • Support an upcoming secure network migration project alongside BAU

Requirements:

  • Active DV clearance
  • Ability to work onsite 2-4 days per week (increasing during project phase)
