Job description

To support, maintain and enhance the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets the operational and security requirements of the business., * Provide IT support to all Chippenham users, resolving hardware and software issues via the IT Help-desk.

  • Deliver user training to improve digital skills and confidence.
  • Contribute to the wider UK IT support team.

Hardware & Software Management

  • Maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot PC hardware; liaise with vendors; maintain accurate documentation.
  • Manage IT fixed assets and associated records.
  • Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and application software.
  • Deploy and maintain antivirus solutions, including updates, user training and urgent issue response.

Infrastructure & Systems

  • Support the administration and use of the company ERP system.
  • Manage and monitor site data backup services.
  • Maintain the integrated cabling system, including fault checks, documentation updates and reporting.
  • Support site infrastructure including servers, routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Ensure cyber security compliance in line with corporate policies and Cyber Essentials requirements., * Effective management of the IT Help-desk, meeting agreed KPIs and service levels.
  • Delivery of hardware and software setups to agreed standards.
  • Compliance with corporate IT directives and initiatives.
  • Robust maintenance of site infrastructure and security controls.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Operating systems?, * Degree in Computer Science or related subject.

  • Strong knowledge of computers and networks.
  • Understanding of computer architecture and networking principles.
  • Ability to analyse and troubleshoot PC and printer issues (Windows & Mac).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of mobile operating systems.
  • Understanding of IT cyber security practices.
