Overview

We are currently hiring 5+ experienced Java Developers to join a large-scale, high-impact programme delivering modern, cloud-based solutions. These roles are UK-remote, with occasional on-site requirements depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java-based applications
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Work closely with product owners, architects, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and DevOps practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Java (Java 8+)/Spring Boot
• Proven expertise building microservices architectures
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or containerisation technologies
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Desirable Skills

• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Exposure to React, Angular, or Front End technologies
• Knowledge of security best practices and authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT)
• Experience in highly regulated environments (eg, financial services, public sector)
