Job description
As Technical Author you will be responsible for producing documentation for equipment & machinery including operator manuals, spare parts manuals, service & maintenance manuals and training documentation. They operate throughout Europe & are continually moving into new territories, so the role will also involve working with external translation agencies to translate materials into various European languages., * Producing documentation for machinery including -operator manuals, spare parts manuals, service & maintenance manuals and training documentation.
- Writing instructions and step by step guides which will easily be understood and followed
- Researching and familiarising relevant health and safety requirements and standards for operation of the machinery
- Assisting in the building of machinery at the prototype stage in order to write service and maintenance manuals
- Manipulating CAD files and working with exploded drawings to create user guides and spare parts diagrams
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to produce clear and concise instructions that conform with company documentation standards.
- Be able to convey complex information correctly and simply.
- Have experience in producing technical guides and support guidelines or haveexperience in technical authoring roles.
- Have a high degree of attention to detail, Good organisational skills ability to prioritise work.

The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
