Job description

Implements system requirements and performs routine data analysis to ensure data management objectives within a work unit are met., * Analyze, design, and implement business systems and applications to improve operational efficiency and support strategic goals.

  • Serve as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and external vendors to translate business needs into technical solutions .
  • Perform routine data analysis, generate reports, and ensure data integrity across multiple systems and databases.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to systems configurations, data flows, and business processes.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution efforts with technical staff and end users .
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate system performance, propose enhancements, and plan system upgrades or integrations., Graduate Assistant, Intern and part-time positions are counted as half time for experience equivalency, meaning one year equals six months of experience., Notice of Availability of the ASU Annual Security and Fire Safety Report:

Requirements

Do you have experience in University experience?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved., * Experience working with higher education applications, including Student Information Systems (SIS), Degree Planning, Learning Management, or ERP

  • Proven ability to document and map complex business processes and technical architectures.
  • Knowledge of APls, system integrations, and middleware technologies
  • Capability to test and validate data results utilizing common testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience managing IT projects, timelines, and deliverables in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a large enterprise IT environment that emphasizes service excellence, security, accessibility, and continuous improvement.
  • Beginner experience with SQL and data structures.
  • Familiarity with reporting or business intelligence tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Working Environment:

  • Activities primarily take place in a standard, climate-controlled office environment and may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, or moving between office spaces.
  • This role involves regular use of a computer (desktop and/or laptop), including a keyboard and mouse.
  • Effective communication and proficiency with a variety of technologies are essential for collaboration with the broader team.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Regular responsibilities may require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
