Job description

The Proposal Development Support Manager (PDSM) is responsible for the provision, reporting and maintenance of specific requirements of COSMOS and quote cost analysis within Business Development. Such management will promote a consistent Clinical Services approach to maintaining and developing compliance within the COSMOS ERP system and ensure profitability for the business. This encompasses the delivery of new or optimized service offering training as it pertains to inside sales support functions to focus on the operational approaches to promote new and existing services. A further key element of this role will be the maintenance of the COSMOS pricelist for new and existing services in addition to cost analysis of quotations associated with client negotiation and overall cost profitability for services. Create and deliver training to both existing and new staff, in all aspects of COSMOS and BD SOPs pertaining to relevant inside support Business Development roles. This will include drafting of documentation, completion of templates and delivering training for processes and costing systems utilized by Business Development. As well as determining the effectiveness of any training delivered through formal evaluation. If any trainee does not meet the required level, further review will be required to determine how the required standard may be achieved. Liaise with Business Development Management and other Departments/Business Units within Almac to ensure induction training and departmental introductory training of COSMOS is completed for new employees and all training delivered is in accordance with the new starts training procedure. Maintain a robust menu for data reporting capabilities within COSMOS and communicate data regularly to BD Management accordingly. This includes overseeing Data Integrity for global Business Development. Utilize financial data reporting systems/tools in order to perform cost analysis of quotations generated by Business Development. Develop baselines for costing structure of services and perform profitability analysis at service level and overall quotation level Maintain COSMOS Price List and other Costing Tools utilized by all of Business Development. Work in conjunction with BD Management, Finance and Business Projects and/or appropriate department to proactively develop approach and presentations, for specific Service Area Training Plan and evaluation for new services as they are introduced. This would include ensuring that Business Development are aware of associated pricing strategies and arranging demonstrations of new systems and equipment for all Business Development staff.

Requirements

High School Diploma Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business Degree Required Work Experience: 2 years+ experience of Business Development roles and associated tasks and responsibilities, including a working knowledge of the Clinical Supply Chain and its associated operations. 2 years+ experience of working in COSMOS Preferred experience: Experience in writing SOPs and/or training materials preferred. Experience of delivering training to new employees and/or experienced personnel preferred. Experience of participating with new global initiatives and operation implementation. Experience of working with a wide range of Department and Management in the area of Clinical Supplies to facilitate the successful delivery of their projects preferred. Required Knowledge: Understanding of Client quotation requirements to meet client expectations Preferred Knowledge: In depth knowledge of Clinical Services capabilities preferred to include: packaging labeling distribution depot management drug returns & destruction IXRS QP Release Analytical testing Global Project Management Supply Chain Management Experience in the development and initiation of training associated with new services preferred. COSMOS Skills (incl.Typical Mental Demands): Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages (to include Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) Effective Presentation Skills Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Services internal procedures across all functional areas preferred to include
