Job description
In this role, you will provide a wide range of technical support services to our judges, staff, and court technology systems. You will analyze, diagnose, and resolve user concerns at all levels and escalate problems when appropriate. You will help image, configure, deploy, and test equipment. You will provide system maintenance such as sandbox testing, Windows updates, patch management, application updates, driver and BIOS updates, physical maintenance, hardware updates, and lifecycle replacements. You will help plan, configure, and install workstations, displays, servers, printers, applications, and courtroom A/V equipment. You will also develop and present training programs to judges and court staff.
Additionally, you will respond to software, hardware, communication, and data issues. You will schedule and submit batch production jobs, monitor batch processing, help field test new software and hardware, and monitor the general health of PC workstations, A/V equipment, servers, and court equipment. You will help manage user accounts, group policies, vulnerability, network security, and server access control. You will also provide support in the areas of VoIP, iOS, and server backup.
You will spend part of your time documenting instructions and procedures, developing knowledge articles, and working on individual projects and large-scale projects.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs., * Experience identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions., * Occasional scheduled and unscheduled work hours may be required as assigned by the supervisor, including early-morning or after-hours work during the week and/or work on one or both weekend days.
- Must frequently respond to courtroom locations during court events in real-time to troubleshoot issues, which requires tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency to keep the court docket on schedule.
- Travel to alternate court locations and other off-site locations is required as needed for work and training.
- The server room is cool and noisy. Time is spent in this room performing backups and maintenance.
- Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Occasional phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances, highly stressful situations, or trauma.
- Lifting items overhead.
- Lifting up to 65 pounds of office materials or equipment (with or without the assistance of equipment).
- Frequent long periods of sitting or standing.
- Regular use of the following equipment: courtroom A/V technology, telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, printers, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
Requirements

The qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management, public administration, or a related field.
AND
At least three (3) years of technical experience in the duties and infrastructure support required for the position., Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position., Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record., * Experience providing customer service and communicating technical issues in person, over the phone, by email, and over chat to people with differing computer skill levels.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting A/V equipment.
- Experience managing a Microsoft Windows enterprise environment including, but not limited to, desktop and laptop maintenance, peripherals, and troubleshooting network issues.
- Experience installing and configuring Windows OS in a business setting.
- Experience with Windows Server.
- Experience with Active Directory is preferred.
- Experience with Group Policy is preferred.
- Experience managing iOS devices in an enterprise environment is preferred.
Benefits & conditions
- The hourly equivalent for this position is $44.79 - $69.48, and the annual salary for this position is $93,160 - $144,513.

- OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job.
- Salary offers are made with consideration of the candidate's education and experience., * This is a full-time position, and the work schedule typically is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, but the schedule may be adjusted to fit the court's needs. This position is FLSA-exempt and ineligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.
