Job description
We are seeking a Senior Design Release Engineer responsible for end-to-end ownership of vehicle Electrical & Electronic (E/E) features, with strong focus on telematics, connectivity, and safety-critical systems such as eCall.
The role requires hands-on experience in vehicle system integration, ECU communication, validation support, supplier coordination, and production launch execution across complex vehicle architectures.
The ideal candidate is a hybrid engineer who can bridge system design, vehicle integration, debugging, validation, and release activities while ensuring production readiness and compliance., 1. System Integration & Feature Ownership

Lead integration of vehicle E/E systems across multiple ECUs (TCU, RCM, Gateway, IVI, etc.)

Define and support system-level interface requirements across CAN, LIN, and Ethernet networks

Ensure seamless interaction between telematics, safety, diagnostics, and connectivity systems

Translate feature requirements into system-level implementation and integration plans, * Perform system-level debugging using CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, and diagnostic tools

Analyze CAN, Ethernet, and backend logs to perform root cause analysis

Support vehicle and bench testing in real-world conditions

Work closely with validation teams to reproduce and resolve issues, 5. Design Release & Production Support

Own feature readiness from development through production release

Manage supplier deliverables for ECUs and subsystem components

Track engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and ensure proper implementation

Support vehicle launch activities and post-launch issue resolution, 6. Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination

Act as technical interface for Tier-1 suppliers and internal engineering teams

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering field
- 5 -10+ years of experience in automotive E/E systems or vehicle integration
- Full cycle product development
- Strong experience in ECU communication and system integration (CAN/LIN/Ethernet)
- Hands-on experience with vehicle-level testing and debugging
- Experience working in OEM or Tier-1 automotive environment
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams, * Experience with telematics, eCall, or safety-critical systems
- Knowledge of RCM, crash systems, or passive safety integration
- Familiarity with tools: DOORS, Jama, Polarion, JIRA, 3DX
- Exposure to cybersecurity or diagnostics in connected vehicles
- Experience supporting vehicle launch programs, * Strong system thinker with hands-on vehicle integration experience
- Comfortable working across hardware, software, and cloud-connected systems
- Able to debug issues at signal, ECU, and system level
- Experienced in supplier-heavy, cross-functional automotive environments
- Has supported or owned end-to-end feature delivery (not just testing)
