Job description
The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 supports Service Fund Operations by designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions by working with SQL, Data Bricks, and UDAP (Unified Data Access Platform) environments. This role facilitates improving business operations, ensuring accurate analytics, reporting that enable strategic decision-making and operational excellence. This role also supports continuous system reporting enhancement testing and production of data migrations in progress from mainframe and on-premises SQL servers to Cloud/UDAP environment., * Utilizes technical skills to drive process improvement
- Conducts data research and/or data processing trouble shooting
- Assists in producing data ad hoc requests using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/Power Platform, and other various analytical tools
- Supports the Senior Business Intelligence Engineers on the Service Fund team
- Develops data reporting tools and reporting automation
- Develop and optimize ETL pipelines using UDAP to consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity for Service Fund and provider operations
- Develop and maintain User Testing acceptance data models that optimize data quality using SQL, Python and/or Data Bricks
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Can independently work with cross-functional teams-including business operations, IT, and provider relations-to streamline data processes
- Support requirements gathering and define Business Use Case user stories as part of system reporting enhancements needs

- Teamwork, * 3+ years of data analysis experience
- 3+ years advanced experience developing complex SQL queries
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (ex. Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, formatting, etc.)
- Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis
- Experience with Azure, Data Bricks, SQL, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret business requirements for provider operations and translate them into technical solutions., * Experience with Humana systems, specifically Service Fund
- Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors/understanding healthcare related data
- Experience with tools such as Power BI for creating data visualizations
- Expertise in data mining
- Experience with database and/or data system migrations
- Experience with SQL Servers, Data Bricks, Cloud, Power Platform
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
Benefits & conditions
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$66,800 - $91,100 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
