Job description
- Develop and maintain enterprise infrastructure engineering standards, policies, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent, scalable, and secure technology practices across the Court.
- Analyze current-state and future-state infrastructure environments to create engineering roadmaps that guide long-term technology investments and modernization initiatives.
- Advise Court leadership, project teams, and stakeholders on infrastructure technology decisions, risks, and opportunities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and long-term platform sustainability.
- Research and evaluate emerging infrastructure technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
- Provide engineering oversight during infrastructure project planning and execution to verify compliance with enterprise standards and ensure successful implementation.
- Assess infrastructure vendor products, services, and proposals to determine alignment with Court requirements and support procurement and contract development activities.
- Evaluate infrastructure performance, capacity, and resource utilization to identify bottlenecks, right-size workloads, and recommend improvements that strengthen reliability, scalability, and resilience.
- Collaborate on enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure rapid restoration of critical services following unplanned disruptions.
- Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to define deployment standards and support repeatable, consistent provisioning of on-premises and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Solution architecture design?, Do you have a Master's degree?, OPTION I: 9+ years' experience in solution architecture, strategic planning, and technology governance.
- OPTION II: Associate's degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 7+ years' experience in solution architecture, strategic planning, and technology governance.
- OPTION III: Bachelor's degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 5+ years' experience in solution architecture, strategic planning, and technology governance.
- OPTION IV: Master's degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 3+ years' experience in solution architecture, strategic planning, and technology governance., Note: Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a prorate basis (e.g., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit., * Advanced expertise in engineering enterprise-scale compute, storage, virtualization, hybrid cloud, and AI infrastructure within complex or highly regulated environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise compute platforms such as Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, and Cisco UCS, including firmware governance, hardware lifecycle planning, and workload performance optimization.
- Deep proficiency designing and administering large-scale storage ecosystems (Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell), including SAN fabric engineering, NVMe-oF architectures, snapshot/replication strategy, and multi-tier data protection.
- Significant experience engineering VMware vSphere environments and multi-hypervisor platforms (Hyper-V, Azure Stack HCI, KVM), with advanced Kubernetes cluster design including RBAC, namespace isolation, and GPU integration.
- Proven ability to architect and operate hybrid Azure environments using Azure Arc, ExpressRoute, AKS, and Azure Site Recovery, with strong governance practices around workload placement, cost optimization, and subscription management.
- Advanced understanding of datacenter fabric design, including leaf-spine architectures, east-west traffic engineering, Fibre Channel zoning, and high-performance interconnects supporting virtualized and storage-heavy workloads.
- Hands-on experience engineering GPU-accelerated AI inferencing platforms (DGX, HGX, A-series/H-series GPUs), including NVLink/NVMe design, parallel file systems, and Kubernetes-based GPU Operator deployments.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise engineering standards, vendor evaluations, and modernization roadmaps, with the ability to influence executives, guide cross-functional teams, and drive long-term infrastructure strategy.
