Cloud Architect

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Architect for an enterprise healthcare technology organization local to Richmond, VA. This individual will serve as the senior technical authority for Azure cloud architecture, leading the design and execution of enterprise-scale cloud solutions and major migration initiatives. The role is highly visible and impactful, blending strategic ownership of cloud governance and security with hands-on implementation. This Cloud Architect must have 10+ years' of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure platform roles, with 5+ of those years' involving hands on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform or Bicep are required). This is an opportunity to shape a multi-year cloud roadmap, modernize mission-critical systems, and work closely with executive leadership and elite engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-standards environment. The pay for this role ranges from $94-$96/hour, based on experience.

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure platform roles
• 5+ years' hands on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) specific experience (Terraform or Bicep required)
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud architecture
• Enterprise-scale Azure design experience (landing zones, governance, security)
• Azure certifications: AZ-104, AZ-900 required
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, identity, and networking
• Hands-on technical background (not purely high-level)

-Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to C-level and non-technical stakeholders - AZ-305 Azure Certification

• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 governance frameworks
• Hybrid or multi-cloud architecture experience
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and consumption management
• Serverless architecture experience
• Leadership or mentorship experience guiding senior engineers or architects
• Experience working with security teams in regulated environments
