Job description

Overview / Summary We are seeking an ETL Developer to support batch and real-time integrations between Salesforce, Workday Student, and related systems. This role is responsible for ETL pipeline development, transformation logic, data validation, testing, deployment support, and documentation activities within an Agile environment., + Review and validate approved integration architecture, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and business rules for assigned integrations.

  • Design and develop ETL pipelines supporting batch and real-time integrations between Salesforce, Workday Student, and related systems.

  • Develop extraction logic, transformation rules, staging processes, reconciliation logic, and data quality validation routines.

  • Support ETL processing for inbound and outbound integrations, including application data, advisor assignments, advising notes, student data synchronization, and real-time integration requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal ETL developers and Salesforce technical resources regarding mapping validation, deployment sequencing, defect remediation, and testing support.

  • Participate in technical work sessions and provide implementation feedback regarding integration feasibility, performance considerations, and data dependencies.

  • Support lower-environment configuration validation and production deployment preparation activities.

  • Execute ETL testing activities, including validation of transformed data, reconciliation against source systems, and defect resolution support.

  • Prepare ETL-related CAB deployment documentation and coordinate production migration activities.

  • Document ETL processes, transformation rules, dependencies, error handling approaches, and operational support requirements.

  • Provide knowledge transfer and transition support to internal university resources.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree.

  • 2+ years of experience using Informatica Cloud.

  • Strong ETL development experience using Informatica and related ETL tools.

  • Experience with Oracle SQL, MS SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Plus, stored procedures, triggers, and PL/SQL packages.

  • Experience integrating various sources, including databases, flat files, and object references in Salesforce.

  • Experience with HEDA and test score integrations in Salesforce.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce development tools is nice to have.

  • Expertise in writing technical designs, unit testing, and break-fix support for ETL and PL/SQL objects.

  • Familiarity with version control tools such as CVS and Dimensions.

  • Experience in Informatica and IDQ, preferably in an AWS Cloud environment.

  • Knowledge of AWS, S3, and RedShift is nice to have.

  • Experience handling slow-changing dimensions using ETL.

  • Expertise in relational SQL queries.

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and ETL deployment processes.

  • Ability to work in a changing environment.

  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Good presentation skills.

  • Self-starter with strong interest in project success.
