Candidates must have enterprise experience with multiple environments and able to work independently as well with larger teams.

Designs, engineers, and maintains z/OS platform tools and services aligned with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and security policies

Provides subject-matter expertise in z/OS infrastructure, supporting application, infrastructure, and engineering teams with technical consultation and
best practices - Translates business and operational requirements into z/OS technical designs, deployment blueprints, standards, and runbooks

Develops and enhances automation, scripts, and tooling to eliminate manual, repetitive tasks and improve system reliability and efficiency

Creates reusable templates and playbooks to standardize system builds, configuration, deployment, and ongoing operations

Evaluates and validates third party mainframe software and tools for enterprise adoption, ensuring fit-for-purpose and compliance

Continuously identifies opportunities to improve system performance, resiliency, and operational processes through innovation and modernization

Contributes to enterprise product and solution evaluations by defining functional and non-functional technical requirements

Supports risk management, change management, and problem resolution in a regulated, high-availability enterprise environment (As applicable)

releases, applying maintenance, and managing PTFs, APARs, and USERMODs using System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E).

Proficient in developing and maintaining system utilities, exits, and automation using REXX and Basic Assembly Language (BAL/Assembler).

Demonstrated experience administering z/OS UNIX System Services (USS), including file system management, permissions, scripting, and zFS
configuration and support.

Hands-on experience configuring and supporting JES2, including job class definitions, initiator management, spool tuning, and workload controls.

Strong working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, including panel usage, utility execution, and support for system programming and operational tasks.

Hands-on experience configuring and managing logical partitions (LPARs) and processor resources using the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve system-level issues, including abends, dumps, hardware errors, and performance problems, using IPCS,
EREP, and RMF tools.
- Desired Qualifications - Experience defining and maintaining complex server, storage, and network hardware configurations using Hardware
Configuration Definition (HCD).
