Job description
The Maintenance Administrator is responsible for providing logistical and administrative support to ensure the efficient coordination and execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance activities across plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with all Westlake safety policies and procedures
- Manage inventory of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies, tools, and spare parts
- Coordinate vendor deliveries, services, and equipment (leased and purchased)
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for processing equipment (e.g., sprockets, pulleys, belts)
- Maintain an organized warehouse and spare parts inventory system
- Negotiate pricing for materials and services; assist in developing vendor consignment programs
- Operate sit-down forklift safely, as needed
- Support budgeting and cost control initiatives by providing data and insights
- Assist maintenance teams with parts identification, replacements, and minor equipment improvements
- Create purchase requisitions and process purchase orders within SAP, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Generate and manage work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure necessary parts and tools are available for scheduled work
- Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to schedule work orders and optimize labor and minimize downtime
- Provide and support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); assist with Permit-to-Work processes when SOPs are not available
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required

1-2 years of experience in a related field preferred

Work in environments with varying noise levels that may be uncomfortable at times

Tolerate exposure to temperature extremes, both indoors and outdoors

Move throughout the facility as needed to support operations

Work in environments that may include dust, chemicals, and other substances

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing, vision, and head protection

Inventory management experience

Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

Purchasing and vendor negotiation experience

Strong data entry and administrative skills
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Experience with SAP (preferred)

Preventive Maintenance (PM) knowledge (preferred)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred)

Familiarity with machining processes

AutoCAD experience (a plus)

Experience operating a forklift
Pay Rate: $24.00-25.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
