We are looking for a Data Center and Facilities Critical Systems Manager to lead our team of Critical Systems engineers.

The role centers on overseeing strategic planning, daily operations, and longterm reliability of all data center and facility critical systems, ensuring power, cooling, building automation, and fire suppression infrastructure operate at peak performance. It includes leading and developing a team of data center facilities engineers, driving a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and operational excellence. The position manages capacity planning, resource allocation, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades, while staying current with industry trends and implementing innovations that strengthen operational efficiency and support corporate sustainability and ESG initiatives.
The manager directs and approves all critical system activities, coordinates project status and maintenance schedules, and works to eliminate delays. They ensure facility systems remain highly reliable during data center expansions and enforce all operational policies, procedures, and audit requirements. The role includes budget ownership, covering capital planning, operating expenses, forecasting, and financial accuracy, along with monitoring equipment usage, maintenance status, and repair needs.
Responsibilities extend to disaster recovery and business continuity, including plan development, execution, annual testing, and emergency response coordination. The manager also oversees vendor relationships, ensuring service levels, scopes of work, and pricing align with organizational expectations. Overall, the position ensures the safety, efficiency, compliance, and resilience of the data center and facility critical systems while aligning operations with broader organizational goals.
This position is onsite with hybrid flexibility based off of work schedules. The position will be hired out of any of the following Jack Henry office locations: Allen, TX / Branson, MO /Springfield, MO and or Monett, MO.
The salary range for this position is $97,8000 -$155,000 based on experience and location. This posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary above or below this range and is subject to change in the future. Individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, work schedule, travel requirements, sales or revenue targets, and overall business needs and affordability.

What you'll be responsible for:

Develops and implements strategies for the effective management and optimization of data center and facility operations, including capacity planning, resource management, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades.

Continuously stays informed of industry trends and technological advancements. Recommends and implements innovative solutions to enhance data center operations, facility management, and supports ESG efforts.

Leads, mentors, and manages a team of data center facilities engineers. Fosters a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance.

Manages, approves, or directly supervises all facility or data center critical system activities. Communicates with all parties involved to determine the current project status, upcoming preventative or maintenance activities and works to prevent any project delays.

Monitors expansion of the data center to ensure facility critical systems and equipment such as power, cooling, building automation, and fire suppression systems are running at the utmost reliable condition.

Develops, recommends, and implements departmental policies and procedures, and ensures staff compliance with these and other facilities processes and policies.

At a Facilities level, manages the budgetary and financial aspects of the department, including preparation of annual capital budget, annual operating budget, anticipated growth, and other resources to support the data center operations. Operates the business unit within approved budgets, and closely monitors controllable expenses and reports any variance. Ensures accounting entries and the general ledger codes are accurate.

Monitors workflow and equipment use and ensures equipment maintenance is up to date and there are no outstanding repairs.

Enforces all policies, procedures, and standards in place for the data center. Plans, coordinates, and ensures the data center receives unqualified audit reports for all internal and external audits. Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.

Develops, implements, supports, and executes disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Responds to emergencies and critical incidents, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to minimize impact and restore operations. Conducts an annual test and provides a written summary of the results. Updates Risk Analysis section of the Disaster Recovery Plan annually; updates the Disaster Recovery Plan semi-annually.

Manages relationships with vendors and service providers. Oversees performance and ensure that service levels and deliverables meet organizational expectations. Reviews price quotes and scopes of work for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Reviews work orders to ensure completion of assignments.

Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the following core disciplines: management of critical infrastructure for data centers and or facilities.
- Must have people leadership experience.
- Must be able to travel up to 15% to attend internal business meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.
