What You'll Do

As a Software Engineer, you'll help design, develop, test, and maintain sophisticated software systems supporting advanced RF and defense technologies. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment focused on innovation, automation, and continuous improvement., * Design, develop, operate, and maintain software components and computing systems

  • Create and enhance Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
  • Develop software solutions using Object-Oriented Programming in C++
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including:
  • Requirements analysis
  • System design
  • Coding and implementation
  • Testing and debugging
  • Integration and deployment
  • Collaborate with engineers, technical teams, customers, and application users
  • Apply software engineering standards, processes, and best practices
  • Support Agile and/or Waterfall software development methodologies
  • Utilize version control and Agile planning tools such as Git, Jira, Rally, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, automation, teamwork, and continuous learning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline with:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • 3+ years with a Master's degree
  • Additional experience may substitute for degree requirements
  • Strong Object-Oriented Programming experience in C++
  • Experience developing software for Windows operating systems
  • Experience creating Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented design principles
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database management systems
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologies
  • Familiarity with version control systems and Agile planning tools
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with C++11
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Batch
  • Experience testing, debugging, and integrating software on target hardware platforms
  • Experience with the Qt framework
  • Familiarity with DOORs requirements management
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

Pay Details: $157.77 per hour
