Job description
A client is looking for a Network Segmentation Project Manager to sit remotely with occasional travel to locations throughout New York State. This person will be responsible for leading a network segmentation initiative within a manufacturing environment, focused on separating critical OT systems from the broader enterprise network to ensure business continuity and reduce risk. Day to day, they will drive the project plan, manage timelines and dependencies, and coordinate across network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment. They will facilitate meetings, track deliverables, and manage risks and escalations throughout the lifecycle. A big part of the role will be translating technical details into clear, concise updates for leadership, including presenting project status and key decisions to executive stakeholders. This person will act as the bridge between technical teams and the business, ensuring the project stays on track without needing to be hands-on with configuration, while maintaining strong visibility across all stakeholders. This person has to be comfortable within a pay range of $68-74/hr dependent on experience level.
Requirements
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager supporting IT or technical initiatives
Experience writing project plans, driving project timelines, managing risks, and ensuring delivery in enterprise environments
Expertise managing network, infrastructure, or cybersecurity-related projects
Exposure to and contribution to network segmentation initiatives
Ability to understand and speak to technical concepts without being hands-on
Strong experience presenting to and communicating with executive stakeholders
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams across technical and business groups
Experience using project tools (ie. Jira) Experience working in OT (Operational Technology) environments such as manufacturing, utilities, or power plants
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks or concepts (e.g., Zero Trust, network isolation, risk mitigation)
Experience with projects focused on business continuity or disaster recovery
Background in highly regulated industries (pharma, healthcare, etc.)
