Job description

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards with high business impact.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data from different sources for analysis.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including Azure Synapse, SharePoint, SQL databases, and Databricks to power analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather and understand data needs, particularly in operational contexts.
  • Apply advanced DAX to create dynamic calculations, critical metrics, and measures within Power BI.
  • Serve as a key partner in business analysis to translate operational needs into technical reporting solutions.
  • Proactively find opportunities to streamline processes and improve data visibility for Field Purchasing and other key business units.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and share knowledge across the team.
  • Manage multiple project timelines and priorities independently, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical partners to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Apply Lean thinking principles to identify inefficiencies and propose practical, data-informed improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and performance-tune Power BI solutions for scalability and responsiveness.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning capabilities to enhance analytics solutions, including:
  • Integrating predictive models and forecasting into reporting
  • Using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and improve code quality (e.g., Copilot, automated code generation)
  • Identifying opportunities to embed AI-driven insights directly into dashboards and business workflows

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying Power BI solutions with deep knowledge of DAX and SQL .
  • Solid background in working with operational data and a preference for candidates who have supported Field Purchasing teams or functions.
  • Experience with data integration across multiple sources including cloud-based databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and creatively in complex data environments.
  • Strong project and time management skills , with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with comfort interacting across business and technical teams.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to enhance analytics solutions, including:
  • Integrating predictive models and forecasting into reporting
  • Using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and improve code quality (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, automated code generation)
  • Finding opportunities to embed AI-driven insights directly into dashboards and business workflows
  • Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and a focus on delivering real-world results.
