Job description

This position is responsible for performing remote and desk-side hardware support. Diagnose, implement and trouble shoot hardware and software including but not limited to operating systems, office applications, 3rd party applications, networks, computer operations and phone systems., 1. Provide end user support in a timely and courteous manner.

  1. Install hardware, software, operating systems and office applications including unpacking new equipment, installing and removing options in PC's, installing and configuring software, performing backups of workstations and servers, shutdown and moving workstations and performing PC installations and swaps.

  2. Assist with structured wiring systems, maintain, troubleshoot and support through vendor when necessary.

  3. Terminate Cat5/6 and coax cable.

  4. Maintain, troubleshoot and support network/software for Micros, Kronos, Digium VOIP phone systems, Key Systems, audio/video. Synkros, CashTrac, Maestro and wireless configurations.

  5. Enable/Disable user accounts; directory/email; as per procedure for new hire/termed users on all systems, printing of appropriate badges and maintain accurate records.

  6. Provide support for all departments for projects involving technology and information storage/retrieval. Maintain security offer all casino IT facilities at all times.

  7. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.

  8. Initiates and maintains communication with subordinates, employees, management, and other departments in facilitating the flow of information throughout the property.

  9. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  10. Deal tactfully with guests when handling unexpected situations, finding solutions that ensure customer satisfaction with minimal financial impact on Casino operations.

  11. Communicates effectively with co-workers, management and guests.

  12. May be required to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Customer communication?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1. High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of IT desktop support, systems training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  2. Working knowledge of basic network administration.

  3. Ability to work under pressure, flexible shifts and 24/7 coverage utilizing rotating on call list.

  4. Must be reliable, punctual and collaborative with co-workers and managers.

  5. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.

  6. Ability to work in areas containing high noise levels and second hand smoke.

  7. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and guests.

  8. Maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  1. Speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.

  2. Ability to verbally communicate using appropriate English standards of language.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.

LICENSING

Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  1. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 50lbs in emergency situations.

  2. Ability to function in a smoking environment.

  3. Employee smoking is restricted to outside location and during break times.

  4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  5. The noise levels in the work environment are constant.

  6. Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access office and break areas throughout work day.

  7. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for entirety of shift as required to conduct normal assigned duties., * Are you at least 21 years of age or older?

  • This position requires eligibility for a Gaming License, which includes completing a full background check and providing any required disclosures to the Gaming Commission. Are you willing and able to complete this process as a condition of employment?

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • IT desktop support: 1 year (Preferred)
