Job description
The Center Director manages daily operations of an assigned center and ensures quality services for children and families. This position supervises and supports staff in the delivery of developmentally appropriate education, ensures the health and wellbeing of children, encourages family engagement, and collects data to monitor program operations.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Teaching Certification license?, Do you have experience in Working with families with children?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Associate's degree in early childhood education
- Bachelor's or master's degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 18 credits in early childhood education ( Please include a copy of transcript if degree is in a related field)
- Valid PA N/K teaching certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Supervisory/leadership experience
- Experience in home centered education, family services or parent education
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice
- Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and learn web based systems
- Valid driver's license and access to properly insured vehicle, or public transportation
- Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, MVR, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
- Passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to make a difference
- Experience in Head Start or Early Head Start is preferred
