Job description
The Hardware Engineer in this position will perform assigned electrical engineering tasks including circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, wire harness design, electromechanical/electrical system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers. Some of the platforms you might be working on include; Ultra LEAP Required Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with the team to design and build subsystem/hardware/software for our aircraft systems

Prepare and create schematics, engineering drawings, test plans/procedures

Collaborate with mechanical, GNC, manufacturing, aerodynamic, procurement, quality assurance, and project/program management teams

Demonstrate and encourage adherence to best practices and standard procedures, This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations. Travel Required: Less Than 10% Working Conditions: The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities. Must have the ability to stop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work., Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Troubleshooting electrical systems?, * Proven understanding of Electrical Engineering principles
- Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, validating/testing, and analyzing subsystems/systems
- Experience in documenting designs and analyses with written reports
- Ability to design using CAD software such as Altium
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience in designing robotic and/or aircraft systems
- UAV experience highly desired
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and firmware/software
- Experience in small to medium sized teams in an R&D environment
- Familiar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standards
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3 - 5+ years of progressively responsible industry experience, Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
