Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring an IT Technical Manager with an active Secret clearance to serve as a technical lead for an enterprise management team, SQL and Oracle DBA team, SharePoint team, and COTS administration team. This position will be in Fairfax, VA, and will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of system administrators and engineers supporting critical federal systems

  • Assign and prioritize tasks in alignment with mission requirements and SLAs

  • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and performance management

  • Ensure high availability and resilience of mission-critical systems

  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning

  • Perform hands-on support of Enterprise SQL databases

Requirements

  • High School with 10+ years overall systems experience in Windows OS, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, SQL DB administration, COTS application, and SharePoint administration (or commensurate experience)

  • 8-10 years of leadership experience of system administrators and engineers

  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder communication skills

  • Problem-solving and decision-making capability

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for compliance and operations

  • Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g., ACAS, Tenable/Nessus/Qualys)

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability

Preferred:

  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
