Job description

The Technology capability collaborates with other capabilities within Digitas such as Strategy, Creative, Data Science and Media, as well as client business and technology representatives, to bring cutting edge digital products and campaigns to life. We also have strategic partnerships with many of the world's leading marketing and advertising technology vendors that helps us leverage the best platforms and tools for our clients.

To help with this, we're looking for an outstanding Vice President Director, Technology - someone who can join new or existing client business and lead multiple projects forward as the Technology Lead responsible for delivery and growth. Sound like you? Read on.

What you'll do:

The Technology capability has a wide variety of focus areas, from mixed reality to e-commerce to data engineering, and experienced technology leadership is essential to support these complex digital projects being defined, designed and developed by Digitas and other Publicis agencies.

As a Vice President Director, Technology, you'll direct project and client teams to deliver innovative technical solutions that move our clients' business forward. You'll guide the technical design of highly dynamic, data-driven experiences and be responsible for the development, testing and successful delivery of the experiences.

Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Directing all aspects of technical discovery, strategy, definition and delivery on multiple clients' projects that includes

  • Requirements gathering through analysis of the project goals and the client s digital ecosystem, background research, and working sessions/interviews internal and external with stakeholders.
  • Building client relationships and trust, and act as extension to their team
  • Translate complex technical solutions into easy-to-understand concepts while conveying value and need
  • Conducting client walkthroughs of requirements, technology recommendations/POVs and/or live demonstrations of working functionality and capturing feedback.
  • Partner with client & project teams to define technology roadmaps
  • Auditing and analysis of technologies and vendors under consideration for project solutions.
  • Ensuring any necessary Governanace or Compliance regulations are considered and followed
  • Direct teams of technologists including; Digital Product Managers, Architects/Engineers, and QA Analysts - both onshore and offshore - in delivering the high quality technology solutions to our clients through the SDLC process

  • Partner with all capabilities in order to provide technical expertise and leadership

  • Partner with Project Management in scope definition, prioritization of requirements, identifying project tasks, time estimates, assumptions, risks and dependencies

  • Partner with Staffing and Recruiting to secure technology resources and/or lead hiring efforts (if required) based on project needs

  • Supporting new business activities such as RFP responses and client pitch development, presentation and follow-up.

  • Define industry best practices for digital product management and technology as well as staying current on emerging digital technologies and trends to support your analysis and client discussions.

  • Lead the Digital Product Management practice and Technology capability's continuous improvement activities by bringing ideas to the table and showcasing work for discussion.

  • Managing other Digital Product Managers on the projects and/or direct reports, at various levels, through proactive mentoring and timely constructive feedback.

  • Take an active role in career management for your direct reports.
  • Help grow and nurture our talent by identifying areas of opportunity and growth.

Requirements

We're looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • 9+ years of experience working on highly dynamic, data-driven experiences.

  • Successful record of accurately scoping budget and resources on complex projects
  • 4+ years of experience as a manager of personnel.

  • 6+ years of experience working for a digital agency or consultancy.

  • Strong history of collaborating with creative teams
  • Agile methodology training and/or experience required.

  • Project management training and/or experience required.

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Business or Technology related discipline required.

  • Deep knowledge of digital technology such as: content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM) systems, e-commerce, systems integration, website analytics, marketing automation, native apps, social media, programmatic and predictive media.

  • Deep knowledge of website and software development process: discovery, design, build, test/QA, deployment, measurement and optimization.

  • A driven approach to learning on the job as well as to completing formal training to develop your skill set.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to support interaction with a variety of team members at different seniority levels and varying degrees of technical understanding.

  • Experience working directly with senior level clients to gain trust and establish rapport for product management, technology assessment and development work required.

  • Outstanding technical documenting skills particularly with using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and cloud based collaboration tools.

  • Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) required.

  • Experience working with remote teams in different time zones required.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed required.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation Range: $135,375 - $207,424 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
