Job description
Seeking a Jr. Data Analyst to join the Credit Union team in Reston, VA. Onsite, Full time with benefits.
Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with management in planning, developing, and implementing various data
analytics and project plans. Maintains relevant organizational and departmental dashboards for trending and analysis. Works with vendors to obtain relevant data sources, staying abreast with changing and emerging trends from various vendor partners. Maintains the Datava datawarehouse solution and all vendor connections for accurate data.
- Produces and maintains reports as assigned. Tracks assignments including details relating to
resources required, timelines, schedules, and communication. Generates periodic reports and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards as assigned and gathers appropriate feedback for improvement. Follows up on all outstanding assignments.
- Works closely with related departments to maintain schedules and needs. Continually monitors
the progress of all reports and projects against established goals and timelines. Provides continuous communication on project status to all appropriate parties. Follows up with managers as needed.
- Maintains compliance and utilizes appropriate, industry-standard measures and reporting
guidelines to insure relevant and consistent data is produced. Recommends changes to work based on efficiencies found, research gathered, or regulatory requirements.
- Writes, edits, and updates procedures for all job functions. Becomes a product expert with
various data software. Runs and develops rep gens as needed. Performs special assignments as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Backs up the ecommerce department as required.
Requirements
Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline required 1-3 years of work experience with financial, analytical, or related research experience required (internships acceptable) Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point) required Experience with MS Excel, including the ability to format and manipulate datasets and analyze their contents using charts, graphs, and pivot tables preferred. SQL, R, Python, Tableau, or other database experienced preferred. Ability to conduct basic data analysis as well as identify, analyze Experience working with large datasets and produce reports Extensive knowledge of statistical methodologies including hypothesis testing, linear regression, modeling, simulation, and analysis of variance Knowledge of relational database technology and business intelligence tools (e Must be comfortable working on projects in an agile, iterative or multi-generational manner
