Job description
As a Configuration Technician I assigned to a client through iT1 Consulting, your role is essential in ensuring the smooth setup, configuration, and deployment of IT assets. You will serve as a hands-on technical resource, working directly with client systems to prepare and deliver high-quality hardware and software solutions. Your attention to detail, technical troubleshooting skills, and commitment to quality will directly support the client's operational success and reflect iT1's standard of excellence. Requirements
- Set up and configure computers and peripheral based on the scope of work.
- To accurately diagnose the problem with a malfunctioning PC, Mac, laptop, printer or other peripheral.
- Perform quality control on the project assigned.
- Respond to order requests and customer emails to assist in troubleshooting any problems that arise., * Image and quality-check laptops, desktops, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) to ensure proper operation and software installation.
- Perform physical and application configuration of invoice and report printers, including Zebra and Canon models.
- Install and configure hardware and software on user devices and servers.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and end-user hardware/software issues.
- Bench test refurbished devices such as PCs, monitors, switches, and phones.
- Configure and deploy card readers and other peripheral devices.
- Create and manage user access accounts and permissions.
- Perform server hardware configuration and support deployment readiness.
- Utilize PowerShell to support automation and streamline configuration processes.
- Unpackage, prepare, and coordinate hardware devices for shipment.
- Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Vision deployments, including QA, staging, and printer tagging.
- Troubleshoot and resolve printer issues during and after deployments, including remote support and reconfiguration.
- Assist with SCCM collections and software package deployments, ensuring successful installation and resolving any failures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Zebra and Canon printers, workstations, and peripheral devices during deployment validation.
- Respond to ServiceNow tickets to resolve hardware, software, and access-related issues.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * 1-3 years of related experience
- Excellent communication written and verbal skills
- CompTIA A+ or comparable experience
- Working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Working knowledge of common desktop applications
- Working knowledge of invoice and report printers
- Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware
- Knowledge of Autopilot and JAMF is a plus
- Knowledge of PowerShell use is a plus
- Ability to work full time
- Occasional travel (Locally - up to 25%)
- Dependable transportation for traveling to client site
- Ability to multi-task
Physical Demands:
- Lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs
- Standing for long periods of time
- Time spent in low postures (crouching, stooping, kneeling, bending)

Job Location: Client Site - W Alameda Rd and I-17, Phoenix, AZ, 85085
Working Hours: Monday - Friday - Shift will be between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM AZ, * Insurance: Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance
