Here's What Your Day-to-Day Could Include
- Install, configure, and sustain operational services such as GitLab, Wiki, Nexus, and JFrog Artifactory
- Support core platform services within the CASA Compute Environment
- Use Bash and Python to automate administrative tasks and workflows
- Perform Linux system administration for COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries
- Sustain mission applications deployed in Linux environments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows using GitLab CI
- Support containerized services and help improve platform reliability and maintainability
- Work with customers and teammates to keep critical developer services running smoothly
Requirements
Do you have experience in Version control?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 6 years of demonstrable experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS and GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment
- Or 5 years of full-time Computer Science directly related work may be substituted for a degree, with at least 6 years of demonstrable experience, * Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
- Experience developing scripts using Bash and Python to automate administrative tasks and workflows
- Experience performing Linux system administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries
- Experience sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
- Experience using Git for source control of system configurations
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines and workflows using GitLab CI
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Desired Skills
- Experience installing, configuring, and managing package registry COTS products such as Sonatype Nexus, PyPI, GitLab, and JFrog Artifactory
- Understanding of software packaging frameworks such as Maven, PyPI, and npm, and their associated artifacts
- Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestration
- Experience interacting with and training external customers
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and automation tools such as Ansible
