Technical Requirements

Must Have:

Active Directory

Microsoft 365

Windows support

User provisioning/deprovisioning

Laptop deployments

General IT troubleshooting

Nice to Have:

Entra ID / Azure AD

Okta

Security++

AWS or Azure exposure

Biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, university, or research environment experience

Lab instrumentation / research computing exposure

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Laptop imaging and deployment

New hire onboarding/offboarding

Active Directory and Entra ID user administration

Password resets and permissions

Microsoft 365 support

Basic Okta administration

Walk-up and desk-side support

Conference room / AV support

Basic networking tasks (activating ports, troubleshooting connectivity)

Supporting lab and office users

responsibilities: What You will Be Doing:

Laptop Deployment

  • Imaging machines and getting them configured

  • Making sure everything is set up consistently before deployment

SIEM

  • Setting up and tuning the SIEM

  • Keeping an eye on what's coming in and following up on anything suspicious

Lab Machines & Network

  • Handling backups for lab machines and making sure they're running

  • Keeping network connectivity sorted for the lab + troubleshooting

Server Room / Networking

  • Managing the server room and activating ports as needed

  • Keeping things documented and organized

User Accounts

  • Creating and archiving user accounts

  • Managing permissions

  • Provisioning apps and maintaining least privilege

Help Desk

  • Being the go-to for tech issues - tickets/walk-ups

  • Diagnosing and fixing problems across hardware, software, and connectivity
