Steampunk is seeking a Technical Director of DevSecOps (Deputy to VP) to drive and support delivery ofDevSecOps-focused work to the Federal market. Thisindividualwill report to theDevSecOpsPractice Lead in theChief TechnologyOfficeand willbe responsible forproviding strategic, architectural, in-depth solutioning and consultative skills to Steampunk clients, leading a team of software development and IT operations-focused technology professionals and supporting the pursuit of newDevSecOps-focused business.
Contributions
You will work with our growingDevSecOpspracticedelivering features to support cloud, testing, operations, application security, DevOps,and application development. We are looking for candidates with10-12years experiencewith cloud platform services, application development,andDevSecOpspractices such as build/release management, CI/CD practices, and process automation.This role hasa responsibilitysupportinglarge-scale projects,mentoringteams of engineers, being senior thought leaders, andleadingcorporate sales,strategyand deliveryinitiatives.
You will act as both technicalvisionary, hands-oncoachto delivery, mentortoup and coming technical leaders, andcorporate technical sales representative.
Responsibilities include:

Serves as theDeputyDevSecOpsPractice Lead across all of Steampunk's client delivery

Supports defining, enhancing,evolvinganddemonstratingSteampunk's point of view and delivery approach related toDevSecOps, software development, IT operations and integrated cybersecurity services to the Federal market

Supports Steampunk strategic business opportunities through technical contribution to sales and business development opportunities

Must have exceptional communication skills to effectively deliver messaging and collaborate with clients, employees, and partners.

Fosters and promotes innovative thinking related to the use ofDevSecOpstechniques and related technologies across the client projects

Serve as a thought leader and technology expert to clients and internal teams in the areas of modernDevSecOps, software development, and IT operations.

Builds andmaintainsclient relationships, developing a strategic vision for clients and internal teams

Handles challenging client situations and offers technical and business guidance & direction to client executives

Manages staff and monitors performance and training needs to create skills expansion and career advancement opportunities

Interface with Operations Directors, ProgramManagersand technical staff to develop, architect, and deliver world-class solutions

Designs, solutions for, and supports the delivery of enterprise classDevSecOpsservices for Steampunk clients to increase organizational maturity across the spectrum ofDevSecOpscapabilities.

Understands and designs engagements that promote and build aDevSecOpsculture for customer engagements
Requirements
Required

Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance

BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience

8Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e.AWS, Azure, or GCP)

8Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
-
8Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages
-
8Years of applicationDevSecOpsExperience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environment

3Years of Experience implementing docker containers andutilizingplatforms such as Kubernetes
-
8Years of Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines,CircleCI,TravisCI
-
5 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standardDevSecOpstooling and orchestration
-
Experienceleading teams of cross-functional, technical resources as a technical lead or architect
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills

This is a hybrid role, located in McLean, VA

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
