Application Programmer

This role is for a seasoned developer responsible for the design and development of backend applications using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot. The successful candidate will work on a client-facing, real-time, high-throughput OLTP application, providing technical direction and supporting the full software development lifecycle. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite., * Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, and test software applications

• Design and develop significant application components for business or supporting functions
• Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
• Perform code reviews and support CI/CD and deployment activities within a DevOps culture
• Participate in or support the delivery of designs and implementations
• Serve as a proficient technical resource for the team

• 8+ years of Core Java, J2EE, and Spring Framework development experience
• Experience with Mule ESB
• Experience with messaging frameworks such as MQ or Kafka
• Knowledge of databases like Oracle or MongoDB
• Experience with backend development for high-throughput OLTP applications
• Familiarity with Transaction Management and Performance Tuning
• Experience with Containers and/or Cloud technologies
• Must possess an understanding of architecture and enterprise standards

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Experience in the Banking and Payments industry
