Job description

The Network Technician is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure and security. This includes but is not inclusive of connectivity, data switches, firewalls, and security software. This position also serves as Tier 2 support for all IT-related tasks regarding computer hardware and software., * Configure all assigned networking and voice devices in accordance with best practices and in the best interest of MVHC security and functionality.

  • Assist with design of networks and connectivity for additional MVHC sites.
  • Keeps all assigned device configurations current, standardized, and secure.
  • Always maintains a current backup of network-related device configurations as assigned.
  • Provides phone and in-person user support for technology-related problems.
  • Completes network software installations, troubleshooting, and support for assigned networking or voice applications.
  • Recommending or requesting the procurement of networking equipment or replacement parts/equipment and outside vendor services as needed for networking equipment.
  • Setup end-user accounts and timely maintenance of these accounts for network and telephony connectivity purposes.
  • Support IT Team in maintaining and rolling out new features.
  • Provide basic level expertise in the function and operation of standard office applications.
  • Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on network, telephony and associated software.
  • Provides telecommunication system support.
  • Travel to MVHC sites required.
  • Timely communication, response, escalation and resolution of system down scenarios.
  • Assist in providing budgetary numbers for support and procurement of networking and telephony needs.
  • Advanced communication and change management updates to all key stakeholders involved and impacted by changes.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Telecommunications data network configuration?, * 5 Years of experience working in a network environment.

  • Experience with various WAN technologies (VPN, SD-WAN, Etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring and configuring switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
  • An advanced understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, application software, computer and network security principles.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external customers., * Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification
  • Network Related IT Certifications
  • Experience Managing Microsoft 365 Environment
