Job description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer with a focus on End-User Experience (EUX) to support Huber Engineered Materials. This role will support L3 Operations and Automation with a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot. Responsibilities include application packaging, deployment, and driving incident reduction through standardization and automation. This is a hands-on position supporting a collaborative engineering team, acting as an escalation point for complex issues while contributing to modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including spinning up new hosts

  • Managing and supporting Microsoft Intune and Autopilot

  • Building and deploying application packages, with a primary focus on packaging

  • Supporting application deployment across endpoints and AVD environments

  • Acting as an L3 escalation point for endpoint and AVD-related issues

  • Supporting mobile devices as needed

  • Driving automation and process improvements using tools such as PowerShell

  • Collaborating across teams to support endpoint performance, deployment, and operational stability

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of overall IT experience

  • 5+ years of experience in end-user computing / modern workplace engineering

  • Hands-on experience with:

? Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) support

? Microsoft Intune support

  • Experience with application packaging and deployment

  • Mobile support experience

  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy

  • Experience working in ITIL-aligned environments and supporting L3 operations

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a ticket-driven environment

Willingness to participate in on-call or off-hours support as needed - Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, AZ-140, MD-102)

  • Experience with FSLogix and AVD monitoring tools

  • Experience with MSIX or application packaging frameworks

  • Experience working with security teams for endpoint and conditional access alignment

Additional language skills (German, Italian, Hungarian)
