Production Systems Engineer - John Deere Contract Role - 1325218

As Cerebral Staffing, we are seeking a dedicated Production Systems Engineer to join our team supporting our client, John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (Sentera), in St. Paul, MN. If you want to bridge the gap between engineering design and high-tech factory production while developing advanced airborne sensors, cameras, and stabilizing gimbals, we want to hear from you., * Frontline Electromechanical Assembly: Supplement production assembly builds for active customer orders as your highest priority. Handle wired assembly integration, box builds, circuit card assembly (CCA) programming, and optical lens alignment and focusing.

• Testing, Fault Debugging & Flight Operations: Run system checkouts, diagnose/repair damaged field equipment, and document test results. Conduct physical drone flight testing and secure a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification within your first three months of employment.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Documentation: Update production designs using PTC Creo. Create, review, and maintain Technical Data Packages, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation to seamlessly transition mature designs to factory-floor production.
• Contract Manufacturer (CM) Point of Contact: Act as the primary technical point of contact for third-party manufacturers, managing the delivery of data documentation and facilitating all Quality Assurance (QA) processes.
• Supply & Schedule Planning: Support production schedule planning, coordinate change management paperwork between teams, and verify that sufficient material supplies exist to deliver a 100% defect-free product.

Do you have a valid Remote Pilot Certificate license?, Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a Bachelor of Science?, * Education: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or a highly related technical discipline. The hiring manager is highly open to motivated recent graduates!

• CAD Modeling: Minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing PTC Creo (academic or professional).
• Physical & Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting abilities, solid mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Must be comfortable spending roughly 75% of the day active on your feet and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Professional Competence: Proficient with core Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) alongside top-tier organization, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Prior internship or professional experience inside an electronics assembly or advanced manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with small electronics, hardware design layout, or wire-harness routing.
• Active FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification on day one.

Operating within a brand-new, modern facility, you will take ownership of the component build, integration, testing, and continuous process improvement of sophisticated drone hardware, working directly as the technical link between internal design engineers and external contract manufacturers., * Pay Rate: Up to $32/hr (W2).
• Location: 100% Onsite at Sentera/John Deere ISG (767 N. Eustis St., St. Paul, MN).
• Duration: 2+ Years.
• Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with minimal overtime.
