Job description

This is an opportunity to join a highly visible, enterprise-level modernization initiative where the team is rebuilding and scaling a cloud-native data environment from the ground up. This Data Engineer sits on a lean, high-impact team driving major initiatives including a Snowflake implementation, AI-enabled data modernization projects, enterprise API integrations, and workflow automation efforts tied directly to core business operations. Our client is looking for someone operating at a Senior Engineer/Architect level who wants to own their space with direct interaction with leadership and customers. If you want to influence architecture decisions and be a key player in helping transform legacy environments into scalable modern platforms, this opportunity was made for you!, * Lead and support a new Snowflake implementation initiative, building a newly established cloud data platform from the ground up across enterprise insurance and benefits operations.

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable Snowflake data warehouse architectures, cloud data pipelines, and Snowflake environments for scalability, performance, governance, and cost efficiency.
  • Build and maintain API integrations between enterprise systems, including integrations involving ADP and customer-facing insurance platforms.
  • Design and automate complex workflows using Alteryx and related automation technologies, creating scalable integration frameworks supporting structured and unstructured enterprise data.
  • Partner directly with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support AI-enabled modernization efforts and enterprise reporting initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration, workflow, and performance issues across cloud data environments.
  • Assist in converting legacy technical debt into scalable cloud-native architecture and best practices, documenting data architecture, workflows, integration patterns, and operational procedures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tooling?, * 5+ years with extensive hands-on experience implementing and optimizing Snowflake environments in enterprise settings supporting architecture, build, and scalability initiatives.

  • Previous experience building and supporting REST API integrations utilizing JSON, OAuth, webhooks, and enterprise integration patterns to support customer-facing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer and/or Alteryx Server/Cloud for enterprise workflow automation, reporting automation, and large-scale data transformation initiatives.
  • Experience designing scalable ETL pipelines and cloud-based integration frameworks to support enterprise-wide data ingestion, orchestration, and modernization efforts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with leadership, business stakeholders, and customer-facing teams in a highly visible, fast-paced modernization environment., * Experience with Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, dbt, or similar cloud integration and orchestration tools.
  • SnowPro certification or deep experience with advanced Snowflake features (Snowpark, dynamic tables, data sharing).
  • Prior experience building data pipelines or infrastructure supporting AI/ML or LLM applications.
