Job description

Our Delivery team is seeking a Data Analyst to own delivery intelligence across the software development organization. Reporting to the Head of Experience Design & Software Delivery, you will collect, integrate, and transform data from multiple source systems into actionable insights that drive delivery improvement, planning accuracy, and leadership decision-making. This is not a passive reporting role. You will work directly with delivery managers and leaders to define and tailor metrics per team, proactively surface risks, and continuously improve how we measure and communicate delivery health.

In this role you will...

Design, build, and maintain delivery intelligence dashboards that provide transparency to delivery leadership, engineering leads, and executive stakeholders.

Own software delivery metrics across sprint health, engineering effectiveness, capacity utilization, quality trends, and team productivity.

Establish and maintain a standard set of delivery health metrics across all product teams, ensuring consistent measurement and a shared baseline for improvement.

Translate raw data into actionable insights. Surface patterns, anomalies, and risks with clear recommendations.

Proactively flag delivery risks and emerging trends to leadership same-day rather than waiting for scheduled reporting cycles.

Key Role & Impact

Collect, integrate, and transform data from multiple source systems (Jira, ServiceNow, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, incident management, and others as needed) into consolidated, reliable views.

Configure and maintain data pipelines and integrations to ensure automated, trustworthy data flows from source systems to reporting tools.

Work directly with engineering leads, product managers, and delivery managers to define meaningful, team-tailored metrics and KPIs.

Support delivery planning and retrospectives with data-driven analysis: sprint completion, velocity, unplanned work, rollover, capacity allocation, and change failure rates.

Analyze incident and quality trends, including correlations between deployment frequency, defect rates, and production incidents to inform engineering improvement.

Provide clear, timely communication of delivery health, risks, and trends to stakeholders and leadership.

Support SDLC governance and compliance reporting requirements, including Board-level audit deliverables.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role within a software delivery or engineering environment.

Proficiency with BI/visualization tools, particularly Power BI.

Experience building and configuring data pipelines and integrations (ETL/ELT workflows, API integrations, scheduled data pulls).

Working knowledge of SQL and at least one scripting language (Python, R, or similar) for data transformation and automation.

Hands-on experience with Atlassian tooling (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) with the ability to extract, model, and report on their data.

Strong communicator who can present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders independently.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and exercise independent judgment on approach and escalation.

Experience with software delivery metrics frameworks (DORA, SPACE, or similar) preferred.

Background in logistics, warehousing, or 24/7 operational environments is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
