Job description

RMC is hiring a Senior System Administrator to support IT work at NSWC Crane. The selected applicant will work collaboratively with the Tier II team in support of workstation compliance, support hardware and software on the RDTE and NREN networks.

  • Create and maintain workstation images and build new systems using a standard imaging process
  • Develop Powershell scripts
  • Assist in software installation and troubleshooting
  • Provide user support and guidance
  • Research, evaluate, and remain current on emerging tools, techniques, and IT technologies
  • Work closely with client to perform technical and requirements analysis
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to local management and internal
  • customers
  • Maintain and update workstation Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements to comply with DISA standards
  • Knowledge of DISA's ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution), how scans work, how scan findings are applicable to workstations, and how to remediate
  • Relevant and working knowledge of the administration of computer Active Directory (AD) accounts, Organizational Units (OU), Users & Groups, Vmware, System Center Configuration/MECM
  • Monitor and perform maintenance analysis and diagnostics for NSWC Crane's accredited Networks such as Classified and Unclassified RDTE and NREN.
  • Manage system resources performance, capacity, available, serviceability and recoverability.
  • Implement security procedures and tools, develop and document system administration standard operating procedures, and resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems.
  • Manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates and enhancements and ensure the application of security policies, principles and practices in the delivery of system administration services.
  • Utilize Ticketing system S-Now
  • Ensure response to tickets / on-site service call / urgent work stoppage needs within 60 minutes to begin troubleshooting resolutions
  • Determine the vulnerability risks of workstations and applications using cybersecurity scanning techniques
  • Perform mitigation steps to reduce the likelihood of known risk occurrences to an acceptable level

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software deployment?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree in information technology?, * Ability to provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems

  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
  • MECM experience on Windows OS
  • Problem Solving ability and proactive attitude to identify and address potential issues
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Excellent communiction skills
  • 5 year's experience with Active Directory
  • 7 year's experience in IT is required, workstation configuration, deployment, operation and maintenance of Microsoft operating systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in related IT field
  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET or higher
  • Must Hold Cybersecurity Workforce Qualification to start work

Required Certification(s): *

  • Security+/SecurityX, CASP, CISSP or equivalent IA-2 or IA-3
  • IAT III 8570/8140 Baseline Certification CASP + or equivalent
