BI Developer/ Data Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a technically skilled and solutions-oriented BI Developer / Data Engineer to join our growing Business Intelligence & Data team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both building impactful dashboards and reports as well as supporting the underlying data pipelines and infrastructure that power analytics across the organization. This is not a pure engineering role: we're looking for someone who bridges the gap between raw data and business insight.

You'll work directly with our Sr. Manager of BI & Data Analytics to develop and maintain Power BI reports, support our Microsoft Fabric environment, and help ensure the data feeding our analytics layer is clean, timely, and reliable. If you've recently earned a Microsoft Fabric or Power BI certification or have hands-on project experience with both reporting and pipeline work, this role is built for you., BI Reporting (60%)

• Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for merchandising, operations, finance, and sales teams
• Develop DAX measures and calculated columns to support business KPIs
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into report specs, and deliver clean, intuitive visuals
• Maintain and document semantic models in Power BI / Microsoft Fabric
• Troubleshoot broken reports and data refresh issues; communicate status and resolution to end users

Data Engineering (40%)

• Support ETL/ELT pipeline development using Fabric Data Factory or Azure Data Factory
• Assist with data ingestion from Storis ERP and other operational systems into Microsoft Fabric / OneLake
• Perform data quality checks and help maintain data integrity across the reporting layer
• Contribute to data model documentation and governance standards in collaboration with the Data Governance Manager
• Support automation workflows (n8n, Power Automate) that feed operational dashboards

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, * 2+ years of experience in a BI, reporting, or data analyst role with hands-on Power BI development

• Solid SQL skills, comfortable writing queries, joins, and basic transformations
• Demonstrated experience building and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards in a production environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services (even if self-taught or project-based)
• Working knowledge of DAX for calculated measures and report logic
• Strong communication skills, able to translate data into clear takeaways for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) or Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) certification or actively pursuing
• Hands-on exposure to ETL pipeline development (Fabric Data Factory, Azure Data Factory, or similar)
• Experience with dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts
• Background in retail, e-commerce, or ERP-connected reporting environments
• Familiarity with Storis or similar retail ERP systems
• Exposure to Python or Power Query M for data transformation, * Will you now or in the future require employer sponsorship to work in the United States?
• How many years of experience do you have building reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, or similar BI tools?
