Healthcare Integration Engineer

Our healthcare technology client is seeking a Healthcare Integration Engineer for a remote contract position. You'll work on critical API integrations and interoperability solutions that connect healthcare systems and enable seamless data exchange. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone passionate about solving real-world healthcare challenges.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and implement healthcare API integrations
• Work with healthcare data standards including FHIR, HL7, and EHR systems
• Build and troubleshoot REST APIs and microservices for healthcare applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements
• Ensure solutions meet healthcare compliance and security standards (HIPAA)
• Document integration solutions and maintain technical specifications
• Support testing and deployment of integration solutions

Do you have experience in Python?, * Hands-on healthcare integration experience (EHR systems, FHIR, HL7, or similar)

• Strong API development and integration skills (REST, microservices)
• Backend development experience (Python, Java, Node.js, or similar)
• Experience consuming and building APIs
• Healthcare IT background or familiarity with healthcare systems
• Understanding of healthcare data standards and interoperability
• Healthcare compliance knowledge (HIPAA) preferred
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently

$70 - $85 an hour - Contract
