Job description
- Serve as the account domain expert, maintaining a 360-degree view of the account, business priorities, and technology landscape.
- Provide technology leadership with a strong focus on cloud-native design and AWS application architecture.
- Assess solution risks and provide recommendations to address security, resiliency, performance, and operational concerns.
- Implement technical processes to enable solution delivery, DevOps pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Drive project delivery by translating architectural vision into scalable, supportable solutions.
- Provide consultation on non-routine technical issues and support Level 4 production needs.
- Participate in escalation calls and help drive timely technical resolution.
- Engage directly with clients as needed to communicate architecture decisions, solution direction, and technical recommendations.
- Design cloud-native and hybrid application architectures.
- Define architecture for scalability, resiliency, performance, and cost optimization.
- Lead application migration and modernization to AWS.
- Guide adoption of AWS best practices, reference architectures, and Well-Architected principles.
- Partner with security teams to implement IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance controls.
- Support production reliability, troubleshooting, and architecture governance.
- Work with development teams on containerization, serverless, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Participate in architecture review boards.
Requirements
Eight or more years of application architecture and/or product development experience
Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Well-Architected principles.
Experience designing solutions on AWS
- Knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation
- Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, event-driven design, container platforms, integration patterns
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and observability, cost optimization, high availability / disaster recovery

Knowledge of software systems, applications, and network markets

Understanding of application design principles and configurations

Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, hardware, and software

Experience with SDLC and client requirements

Leadership skills to mentor others

Strong communication skills

Preferred: Active Directory restructuring, ADO, Security experience

Preferred: Okta or other IAM experience

Mandatory: .NET development experience
Preferred Certification - AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
